Ice.net beats the mobile broadband competition
People all across Sweden took their broadband connection with them this summer. Many did so courtesy of the web shop we built for Ice.net.
With a strong brand and a compelling product (a Turbo 3G USB broadband modem with 90% coverage) it was no surprise that Ice.net needed a well-built and easy to use shop to serve the expected rush of customers.
But our client wanted something more.
Ice.net asked us to make sure the web shop integrated with all of their systems (billing, order fulfilment, CRM etc) in real time. Normally the reason for this kind of backend work is done purely for the benefit of the client. Not in this case.
The company is known for a very real and true customer commitment and wanted to make sure that all their systems made the buying experience as positive as possible, both online and in retail stores. For those choosing to buy a mobile modem through our client’s expansive network of resellers the benefit was immediate – they were able to use the modem straight out of the box with no delays or waiting. This true plug-and-play was something none of Ice.net’s competitors could offer.
To make all this possible in time for the summer rush we used the open source Cuyahoga Content Management System. Flexible and very powerful, it beat out better-known systems as our tool of choice.
Cuyahoga has the added benefit of being a effective and easy to use Content Management System, a fact that will serve Ice.net well as they continue adding more products and serving more customers in the seasons to come.
