OUR WORK / AstraZeneca
Re-launch of Arimidex.net, with a twist
Our long-time client AstraZeneca commissioned us to re-launch the Arimidex.net website. Originally the plan was to rely heavily on imagery acquired as part of a concept called “positive conversation”. When the scope changed the black and white photos became less prominent in the design. Our Project Manager felt there was more we could do with the photos to still convey the feeling of “continuing good news”.
He suggested adding motion to the stills; a technique often used by photographer and filmmaker Ken Burns. The technique allows for slow pans across, and zooms in and out of, photographs; bringing with it a certain sense of presence and connection. One of our web developers improved on the concept and the end result helped get the web site’s message across.
Arimidex.net continues to evolve under the guidance of the Arimidex team at AstraZeneca in Manchester.

“This is a good example of how everyone on our project teams contribute in ways that improve the creative, business, or user experience goals of the project, regardless of their formal roles.”
